Coronavirus Message

Due to recent community health concerns regarding the novel coronavirus, we have a few recommendations for those who would like to continue protesting with us.

Please do not attend a strike if:

  • You are feeling ill or showing symptoms of cough, fever or extreme tiredness.
  • You have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days prior to a strike or have been in close contact with someone who has
  • You are apart of any high-risk populations such as the elderly, those with compromised immune systems or those who have pre-existing medical conditions.

To be extra cautious, we ask you to wash your hands before and after attending a strike and avoid shaking hands with others.

Even if you are not able to attend a strike due these concerns, you can still join in online! Post a picture of yourself with your favourite climate action related sign and use hashtag #climatestrikeonline.

The mass climate strike on April 3 has been cancelled. However, we are in the midst of making alternative plans that will allow us to still have an impact on April 3rd without the mass gathering of people. More information regarding the national climate strike on April 3rd will be posted soon.
